Artist Statement
My artistic approach revolves around the dialogue between materials and gestures, exploring the tensions between order and chaos. Each material—whether glass, ceramics, or reclaimed materials—has its own identity, which reveals itself and transforms through repeated use. This process, guided by an awareness of the intrinsic properties of materials, highlights how distinct elements can coexist and interact to create meaningful works.
My work also questions the relationship between humans and their environment. The impact of human activity on nature shapes landscapes where organization and disorder intertwine. This duality fuels a reflection on the complex and often unpredictable connections between humanity and nature. The forms I create translate this interaction, capturing both fragility and resilience, balance and imbalance.
The techniques I employ, such as glassblowing and thermoforming or molding and hand-building in ceramics, allow me to explore the behaviors and limits of materials. These gestures, sometimes precise, sometimes instinctive, form a universal language that transcends mediums. I also integrate digital arts into my practice, expanding perspectives and multiplying the possible dialogues between tradition and innovation.
My approach seeks to reveal the subtle interconnections that animate matter and to invite the viewer to reconsider their relationship with the world. By bringing to light the invisible dynamics that link materials, gestures, and ideas, my works aim to provoke reflection on the complexity of creation and destruction, as well as on the dualities that define our existence.
